Beyond “Independent Directors” to Board Independence (Part 2)

This article continues the discussion on ‘board independence’ and seeks to demonstrate that while the presence of some directors whose role is to ensure that the board acts independently is welcome, the responsibility for board independence is more far-reaching and encompassing than having ‘independent directors’ in the boardroom.
